As the social worker at a large cancer center, I see many patients who are
unable to continue working during treatment or who must cut back on their hours
at work to receive treatment. This situation creates an emotional and financial
strain on the patient and their family. With the generous support of Show Me A
Cure’s Helping Hand program, several of my patients have been able to pay monthly
living expenses and lessen their stress. I believe the financial support given
allowed our patients to focus on wellness. Without Show Me A Cure’s Helping Hand
programthere would have been no place for my patients to turn for financial
support during the most trying time in their lives. From the bottom of my
heart, Thank You Show Me A Cure’s Helping Hand program!

Matt and Angie,
I first want to thank you for taking the time to review our story of tragedy and consider us as a family to help through the Show Me A Cure Helping Hand program. I can't begin to tell you how relieved I felt when you called me and told me that you picked our family to help financially for the month of August 2010. After losing a child, being diagnosed with cancer, and spending months in the hospital, of course I was unable to work. The financial burden fell solely on my husband and he had just returned to work after an 8 month layoff. Show Me A Cure is a wonderful organization to help families in need and we are truly grateful. Thank you so much!
